Flag placement ceremony on Saturday at 8am A reminder to all:The Memorial Day flag placement ceremony is THIS SATURDAY at 8am at Crownsville State Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville. For more detailed information see the Pack 731 website www.croftonpack731.org/news.html and scroll down for the notice about the event. This is always an amazing sight, so I highly recommend you come out, IN UNIFORM. It doesn't take long, the cause is especially worthy, the event educational, and the photos you can take are priceless. And, if that wasn't enough, there are typically donuts.

Awesome event: Flag Placing Ceremony, Saturday, May 26To All Pack 731 Cub Scouts and Family Members:
You are cordially invited (and encouraged) to join Scouts from all across the area in a Memorial Weekend show of support for our country and our war heroes. Attendees will participate in a commemorative ceremony and help place 14,000 flags on the gravesites of veterans at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road in Crownsville, Maryland. Opening ceremony is at 8:00 am. The Scouts will begin placing flags at 8:30, and should finish by 10:30(although in prior years I’ve seen them finish in less than an hour). We hope you can take the time to participate in this show of respect for American Veterans. You’ll get a sense of the sacrifice required to provide us with our way of life and be amazed at the way many helping hands make light work of a seemingly daunting task. This is a well-attended event, much more fun than you might think, and is the perfect setting for the most amazing photos.
Snacks and drinks are provided.

Grand Finale Pack Powwow: This Friday, May 18! A reminder to all: This coming Friday is our final Pack Powwow of the school year, 7:30p at CES. Highlights this month will be:1) Rank achievement recognition for those boys who have finished the requirements for their rank badges since the February Blue & Gold.
2) Skits, songs, cheers.
3) Announcement of some new Pack leaders.
4) Rank advancement for all Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Web I's to their new rank for next year. The Web I's will have the honor of presenting all the younger scouts with their new neckerchiefs and books!!
5) A surprise grand finale for the year in which everyone participates!
Come on out for a great evening. 7:30, THIS FRIDAY!
