REMINDER - Pack Powwow Friday May 16th
The last Pack Powwow for the year will take place at 7:30PM on Friday May 16th at Crofton Elementary School.

There are 23 scouts who will be awarded their rank badges and all Dens will formally "move up" to the next rank (Tiger Dens will become Wolf Dens, etc.).

Our rising WEB II Dens, the Dragons, Flaming Marshmallows and Pedros will have a special assignment during the Powwow.

Therefore, I would appreciate if all Dragons, Flaming Marshmallows and Pedros arrive no later than 7:15PM for a briefing on their special assignment.

Thanks,

Roger

Fairgrounds service projects on 5/18+31
Ever had fun at the County Fairgrounds? Camp Tomahawk, the annual County Fair, and craft shows use the Fairgrounds in Crownsville. Consider doing a good turn at two upcoming service projects there.

Service Project #1 on Saturday, May 17 – Build wood benches according to a pattern. We need adults and perhaps older Webelos or Boy Scouts to assist. There would be a cutting team, an assembly team, and a finishing team.Useful tools include a circular saw, wood cutting tools, files, combination squares, wrenches, sockets, etc.

Service Project #2 on Saturday, May 31 – Clear area from the barns to the back gate. Clean 2 feet into the wooded areas, with trash into the Dumpster and cuttings to be mulched. Scouts and adults participating in this effort should bring gloves, rakes, loppers, trash bags, etc. Note: be prepared for Poison Ivy so wear long sleeves, gloves, and long pants.

Hours – We will be working from 8am to 4pm. Come when you can, for as long as you can. Enter the Fairgrounds through the back gate (off Crownsville Road, across from the old hospital complex).

Contact – If you can help or have questions, contact Doug Boyd (Boydhome@peoplepc.com or 301.641.0958) and let him know which Service Project you can work on and what hours during the day.
